Michael J. Scotti, Jr., MD is Vice President for Medical Education of the American Medical Association. He is responsible to the AMA for all activities relating to undergraduate, graduate and continuing medical education.
  Dr. Scotti served over thirty years with the United States ARMY, retiring (1995) in the grade of Major General. He held positions for the Army Surgeon General as Family Practice Consultant, Chief of Graduate Medical Education, Director of Quality Assurance, and Director of Professional Services. His last assignment was as Commanding General of Army Medicine in Europe during the Gulf War and the subsequent drawdown of forces from the continent.
  Dr. Scotti represented the Army in the AMA House of Delegates and was Vice Speaker and Speaker of the Congress of Delegates, American Academy of Family Physicians. Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Family Practice, he holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Geriatrics. Dr. Scotti received his BS from Fordham College and his medical degree (cum laude) from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He holds clinical appointments on the faculties of Georgetown and the Uniformed Services University.  NEXT >
