Changing the Culture of the Workplace:
An organizational change program to
bring together the needs of culturally diverse communities and health
services.
A program will be presented which has been acclaimed throughout
Australia as a major innovation to improve the ways in which health services
provide for culturally diverse groups. The program has been enthusiastically
adopted, meeting the needs of senior executives, middle managers and service
providers. It enables culturally diverse community groups to input into
the planning and delivery of services at a level that has immediate relevance
to them. Benefits identified by users of the program include increases
in team confidence and skills, cost effective strategies to improve equity
for communities and demonstrated commitment to continuously work to improve
equity in service provision in partnership with diverse communities.
