Cross Currents Newsletter and RCCHC Resources ManualRCCHC offers its network members two ways to stay informed and to make connections with colleagues around the nation. The quarterly newsletter, Cross Currents, will focus on current issues related to linguistic and cultural competency in health care. Members also receive a comprehensive resource guide providing detailed information about network members their organizations, programs, resources, interests, and needs. The Cross Currents newsletter is designed to enable individuals and organizations serving linguistically and culturally diverse populations to stay informed about state-of-the-art practices, emerging methods and techniques, and government and market forces that impact ethnic communities and health care systems. Cross Currents offers summaries of recently released reports and studies, news about upcoming conferences and events, and analyses of legislative, regulatory, and market changes that affect communities and providers serving ethnically diverse communities. Anticipated features will include program profiles, training and curriculum reviews, and a network forum where readers can exchange information and debate topics of current interest, including issues related to techniques, practice, quality, costs, and program development. RCCHC members also receive a detailed RCCHC Resource Manual, with information about the programs and resources of their network colleagues who serve linguistically and culturally diverse populations. Members receive a brief questionnaire designed to elicit information that will be printed initially for inclusion in a resource binder. The loose-leaf format allows for supplemental editions and updates as new members and information are added, and also for the storage of newsletters and other informational mailings.
