Cultures in the Clinic has expertise in cultural medicine, cultural epidemiology, culture as it affects the practice of clinical medicine, clinic operations.

The Center for Healthy Families and Cultural Diversity (CHFCD) in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (New Brunswick, New Jersey) was established in 1997, and is dedicated to leadership, advocacy, and excellence in promoting culturally-responsive, quality health care for diverse populations.

Harborview Medical Center (HMC) is owned by King County and operated by the University of Washington. One of its missions is to provide care to underserved populations including refugees and immigrants. To serve this group more effectively, HMC maintains a robust interpreter service and the Community House Calls Program.

NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. The National Health Law Program (NHeLP) is a non-profit organization committed to improving health care access and quality for low-income and underserved populations. NHeLP has significant expertise in language access policy and law and offers multiple resources on a variety of topics

The mission of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is to improve health care of all Americans.

AHRQ offers:

UPAC Elder Multicultural Access and Support Services (EMASS) Program is using a promotora model to reach out to unserved and underserved senior population (60 and older) from Latino, Filipino, African American and Somali (African Refugees) communities in the North, Central, and South Regions of San Diego County.  This Program is funded by the County of San Diego - Behavioral Health Service
