With support from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the Stanford Geriatric Education Center has developed these modules to serve as a basic generic curriculum in ethnogeriatrics. Through five modules that can be used individually or all together, the curriculum covers basic concepts in culturally competent care for elders, the health conditions that affect elders from diverse backgrounds, an overview of the skills and background information necessary to provide effective care and make an assessment. The curriculum covers a range of topics from health promotion, informed consent, dementia, caregiving, and working with families, and includes ethnic specific modules for various populations.
