Employee Language Skills Self-Assessment Tool
This self-assessment tool was designed to assist health care organizations in identifying already existing language skills and resources within their health care organization setting. This simple tool provides a basic idea of the bilingual capabilities of staff and the information collected may be used as a first step to improve communication with a diverse patient base. It is recommended that the tool be distributed to all clinical and non-clinical employees using their non-English language skills in the workplace.
