This website developed by and for federal employees promotes and supports the use of plain language for all federal communications. The website provides an overview of plain language - communication your audience can understand the first time they read or hear it - as well as tools and tips for implementing plain language. Though the site is intended for federal employees, it is relevant for health care organizations that wish to make their communications with patients more accessible to patients with limited English proficiency (LEP) and low health literacy.
