New York University Culture and Psychiatry Curriculum

In 2008, NYU piloted a new required course with 14 one hour meetings devoted to culture and psychiatry for third year psychiatry residents. This curriculum was informed by a study sponsored by the Group for Advancement of Psychiatry's Cultural Committee, as well as the American Psychiatric Association/Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Minority Fellowship Program.
